Vasudattha – Mind Witnessed

Mind cannot be steadied, it is constantly roaming. It is the nature of the mind. One can steady the mind in the moment by refusing all thoughts other than the thought I am the Self. The mind will rebel, but with patience and perseverance it will give in and become quiet. The mind is like the reflection of the moon in the water, stirred by the wind of desires and the self (ego) is but a reflection of the mind. It appears to change constantly, restless with pleasure and pain. The Self is beyond the mind, unconcerned with any action or reaction. To steady the mind, we have to learn to detach from all things that disturb our peace and stay away from agitation. Then it becomes still and within this quietness, we can experience the unfathomable love, lit by the Self, thus experiencing the true nature of the Self “I AM THAT”.
Once we experience this, the undisciplined mind can act up again and cause ripples within that tranquility. But the Self is not servant to the vagaries of the mind and the Ocean of Love will return to claim its own, the Self. Gently will this Sublime Love, nudge us towards breaking false attachments and delusions and become supremely aware in the present moment. The I, me and mine are dropped and we leave the external chaos and enter eternal internal bliss.
The state of being in the Self is beyond consciousness; some address it as super-consciousness or pure-consciousness or supreme-consciousness.  It is pure awareness awakened.

Be a witness to the antics of the mind, react not and do not consciously stop the flow – just carefully witness and consciously steady the flow of breath. If we starve the mind of thought, we will feed our soul with eternal bliss. Nothingness will achieve everything. The Self is subtle – the mind is gross, full of thoughts and feelings, by calming the mind one experiences the Self as who we really are.
A quiet mind will lead you to your Self, just as the rising sun activates all life, Self Awareness creates changes within your mind, stills it and awakens inner energies.
Everyone born is destined for enlightenment – it is the sole (soul) purpose of life – work with your destiny not against it. Pay scant attention to the foolish obstacles created by the mind. Suffering is caused by falsehood, false desires, false values, false ideas, false fears and false relationships. Drop all the false and you will be free from pain.  Truth liberates, brings happiness, where births and deaths are but points of time on the circle of life.

Life is timeless, like an ocean, ever changing and yet never changing. Instead of constantly questioning the “when? Why? And How?,” be in the NOW. Yog is bending from the outer reality to the Truth within. Make the mind and body experience the real flow which is beyond all. Doing this will help you succeed not by arguing (in the grip of the ego) “I know” – which is the nature of the mind.

Turn your face towards the Sun and the shadows shall fall behind you.  Truth cannot be grasped by the mind, for it is not tangible, but when the mind is silent, wisdom is born.

An agitated mind causes clutter. Clarity of thinking is not possible, turn the mind inward and focus on your breath, steady it in the moment, connect to the Self and as a witness observe the reason for the agitation.you will find. The root cause of the agitation.it is very necessary for you to read the article. As every time you read the article on the mind it will unfold different angles and you will identify what the causes of your agitation is, once there is clarity the mind is at peace. vasudattha is connected with you.

Mind a very powerful instrument. Most experience the mind in the grip of ego, hence under the dictates of the mind turned out words to the matirial world of I me and mine.all one needs to do is. to look around to see what makes the headlines and around our own lives. In the grip of the mind we have forgotten.life is a bubble in the hands of time what goes up must come down for all is momentary.

My favourite lines in this article are
‘Be a witness to the antics of the mind, react not and do not consciously stop the flow – just carefully witness and consciously steady the flow of breath. ‘

‘Turn your face towards the Sun and the shadows shall fall behind you. Truth cannot be grasped by the mind, for it is not tangible, but when the mind is silent, wisdom is born.’
